J. ROBERT OPPENHEIMER ♟🎬

Who is this J. Robert Oppenheimer? Do you know about him? Oppenheimer is a famous historical figure whom some people respected and others hated. why is that? Yes, because Oppenheimer created the first atomic bomb.💣

He is an American citizen. He was born on April 22, 1904 in New York. His father was a businessman and his mother was an artist. Oppenheimer was a very bright child and he was interest in studying physics. Therefore, he entered Cambridge University in 1924 for further education. However, he was not a good child for practical activities and he was good at solving difficult math problems. There he met a talented scientist named "Niels Bohr" and on his advice he went to the University of Gottingen in Germany to study quantum physics. There he met "Max Born" and other talented scientists. Oppenheimer received an honorary degree in physics there.

After returning home in 1929, Oppenheimer taught people about quantum physics. Now we know about him. But how did he create such a powerful bomb? There are 4 main reasons for this. There are,

In the 1930s, scientists found that splitting an atom could create a lot of energy. This discovery made many people curious. At that time, America was afraid that Germany would build a bomb first. Because of this fear, and a letter from Albert Einstein, the U.S. President started a secret plan called the 'Manhattan Project.' He asked Oppenheimer to lead this work. Oppenheimer did this because he wanted to help his country. 

The war ended, but people blamed him for the tragedy in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He felt bad about the destruction. His famous words were, 'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds". So in conclusion, he was a genius, but he lived with a heavy heart because of his invention.
